Look to the Skies...
The year is 39.46c and, in the wake of a decimating world war, people across the surface of Inar are starting to experience a surge of strange and unusual happenings. Things flying overhead, things coming up from the ground, things appearing as if out of thin air; things happening to their magic, the odd events started to reach a fever pitch and there wasn't anything anyone could do about it.Eventually, the country of Edora, locked in an unofficial stalemate since the war with its rival across the sea, Mosdrovia, decided it had enough. Fearing that the uptick in unexplainable magics had something to do with Mosdrovia testing new Arcane weapons of war, Edoran leaders created the Blue Rock Office in an attempt to study the phenomena in an organized and official capacity. What they found was Mosdrovia was just as lost and confused, they found out that perhaps their aspirations of figuring out the root cause of the high strangeness might be a lesson in futility. However, Edorans had a habit of not giving up, even when things seemed not in their favor. They continued the Blue Rock Office, offering the public a balm that, despite the possibly terrifying things that were happening, everything could be explained rationally...

Jalek and the Starbook
Dr. Jalek Holan has always considered himself a rational man, a man of science and scientific thought. A young professor of Cosmological Sciences at his university, he is doing his best to make a good impression to the board so that he can finally start taking steps to be granted his tenure. However, all of that goes arwy one night when he loses time, only to discover that a mysterious book has appeared in his briefcase. The book, old and decrepit, is filled with strange images of things he has never seen before and words from a language that Jalek nor anyone else he asks can decipher. Before he knows it, strange things start happening to him overshadowed by the every growing knowledge that someone else also knows of the book's existence and will stop at nothing to get it back.
